DIRKS and Beyond is an interactive educational program created for records and Information managers and for business analysts to develop the knowhow to put the DIRKS methodology to work. This comprehensive course (1-3-5 days) delivers hands-on development of a Records and Information Management (RIM) framework and addresses the design and implementation of recordkeeping systems.
Making a commitment to manage the lifecycle of records and information properly is not the same thing as doing it. For your RIM systems to operate like clockwork, you need well regulated systems built on sound foundations.
The ISO 15489 Standard for Records Management provides the conceptual framework (DIRKS methodology) for sustainable records and information management. The challenge that RIM managers and business analysts face is how to translate the concepts within the standard into effective tools and systems.
